The short version: the European Motor Show is coming back to the RDS in Dublin on 30 and 31 January 2027, and fair play to the team behind it, because the first edition earlier this year was a serious statement. We're not involved in this one, we just think it deserves the shout out: it's exactly the kind of event the Irish motor scene has been crying out for.

What is the European Motor Show?

A festival of cars rather than a traditional motor show. The inaugural edition over the February bank holiday weekend brought manufacturer displays from the likes of Volkswagen, Skoda, Mercedes and the new wave of electric brands, alongside motorsport from Dakar to Formula 1 to touring cars, all under the RDS roofs. The standout was the Live Car Catwalk, a moving runway where everything from rare classics to modern supercars rolled through in front of the crowd rather than sitting on a plinth. It was launched at Mondello Park, which tells you the motorsport pedigree runs right through it.

When is it on and where do I get tickets?

Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January 2027 at the RDS, Dublin. Tickets and the full line-up as it's announced are on the official site at europeanmotorshow.com, and it's a genuinely family-friendly day out, so bring the kids and blame us.

Why it matters for the trade

Big consumer motor events put cars in front of tens of thousands of people at their most enthusiastic, and that halo lifts everyone: dealers, brands, the aftermarket, the lot. Ireland hosting an event with this ambition is good news for every business in the industry, and we'd encourage anyone in the trade to get up to it. You'll find it on our Irish motor events calendar along with everything else worth the diesel.

The bottom line

30-31 January 2027, RDS Dublin, one for the diary. And if your business needs its own event presence handled, from stands to content, that's a thing we do, or book a free call.
